Easter Brights

Today I found a cute little Easter outfit for Elliott. I think it’s perfect for her without being overly frilly.

After securing her duds at Marshall’s, I felt like I needed something springy and bright, too.

I was inspired by this post and headed to Old Navy to find this:

And in case it’s a bit chilly Sunday morning, I picked up this cute cardigan:

The whole oufit for about $20.

All the clearance stuff is an additional 30% off right now.

If you need something bright and cheery to match your vibrantly dyed Easter eggs, head over to O.N. and see what you can find for your {Sunday Best}.

While the kids will be dying eggs in the morning, I will be using this dye….

{hoping the [mousse] will ease application and drips!}

I hope your {Good Friday} had you surrounded with those that you love.

Me, Myself & I

This morning was fabulous.

I had 3 hours to myself.

No calls from the school. No laundry. No vacuuming.

Just me, myself and I.

I ran some errands…picked up a few treasures and some goodies for Holden’s birthday.

I am attempting a {much} smaller version of this…

How cute is this Roxy dress I scored for Elliott {6 bucks!}…

Anxiously awaiting Spring!

And, yes, I did go back and pick up another pair of $4.48 gloves at Target:

Have you tried the new fruit & maple oatmeal at Mickey D’s?

It’s great for a quick breakie on the road…290 calories with 5 grams of fiber!

It really is {undeniably delicious}.

Remember this {Friends} episode:

There is a woman that I see every Tuesday/Thursday morning on the way to Holden’s school. She has a very {Phoebe-esque} running style and I always get a kick out of it ~ brings a smile to my face at 8:45am.

Hope your Tuesday involved a few laughs and some {YOU} time!

Stripey Thursday

Found this Jonathan Martin dress for just $6.49…

Super cute from the front too, but I couldn’t drag that pic to my desk top for some reason…

It can be worn now with leggings and Uggs, in the spring with ballet flats or with flip flops in the summer!

Seriously.

$6.49.

Ross.

Hope you’re finding some fun after-Christmas deals, too.

Only about 28 more hours of Twenty Ten!

Thrifty Thursday

Holden & I went to TJ Maxx this morning while Elliott was at school.

Wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but since I’m always buying clothes for the kiddos, I was mostly in “ME” mode.

Right off the bat I found a cute Roxy tank in the Junior’s section (shocker….it fits believe it or not!) for $10. Super cute ~ racerback.

After checking out the Kids/Toy section and peeling Holden away, I waltzed past the clearance dress rack only to find a gorgeous orange dress….with a spaghetti strap halter look that I just love!

I normally don’t try stuff on when I have the kids with me, but I HAD to see if this beauty fit.

Holden is still whining to go back to the toy department and trying to climb out of the cart as we arrive at the dressing rooms. The woman gives him the number to hold and we go into the handicapped room. No sooner do I strip down and he bolts out under the curtain. I’m standing there yelling at him to come back in and the dressing room attendant says, “Don’t worry…I’ll watch him.” Um…..OK, but since I don’t trust ANYONE anymore these days I step out there in my bra, orange dress up around my waist and finish getting into it right out in the front where everyone is checking in! Whatevs….gotta do whatcha gotta do.

The nice woman zipped me up and….the dress fits like a glove.

I am so pleased! Now I have a couple options for Elliott’s graduation and dance recital.

$15 people!

Here is the EXACT dress:

Love, love, love it!

Now for some beautiful sandals to go with…

…and a good strapless bra!

Bargain Banana Find

My “Pops” came to visit last week to celebrate Holden’s birthday.

Somehow he ended up with a credit at Banana Republic…

While here, he was kind enough to pass it along to yours truly.

He kept an eye on the kiddos while I browsed. How I love BR, but in all reality, it’s not in the budget these days.

I spotted this fun yellow handbag for Spring, but even with my $50 credit, it was a little too much.

However, for $1.44 out of my own pocket I picked up two beautiful pieces.

This cute cargo tee in black and…

this gorgeous flutter sleeve dress in plum!

I’m saving the dress for either my BIG birthday dinner this year or Jay’s Christmas party…I have several months to find the perfect shoes and accessories to go with. (The dress was originally $130 and I picked it up for $16.97….um, that’s a savings of almost 90%!!!)

Thanks, Pops! So glad I could take that credit off your hands. {Hugs!}
