36 Months of Ramblings

Today marks this little blog’s anniversary! Three years ago today, I hit publish on my very first post and 877 posts later, here we are. {via} The thought of starting a blog occurred to me about a year before I actually began. I knew I didn’t want solely a cooking blog, or a party planning [...]

Sugar Overdose

Wanna know what’s more sickening than stuffing your face with Laffy Taffy, Almond Joy, Snickers, York and Pay Day candy? Going into the archives and pulling up your babies pics from every single one of their Halloweens. Time is so cruel. So, so cruel. A reminder to take each day and appreciate them while they [...]

Eight

Happy 8th Anniversary to my JWPA! Can’t believe it was 96 months ago that we tied the knot at St. Francis Chapel and celebrated afterwards at Cafe Pacifica. Truly memorable both for us and for our guests! Thank you for {putting up} with me and for your steadfast love and devotion to our family. I [...]

The Big Green Circle

The other day I was thinking back to when I started going to Starbucks. It seems like now, after almost a couple decades, that it is just part of life. Just as we drop off and pick up our kids from school, run errands, fix dinner, etc. we run to the Starbucks drive-thru or pop [...]

In 5 months. 5 months translates to about 2 weeks these days. ***** I [...]

What happened?

We went from this… To this… Her very first girlfriend from 6 years ago, Charlotte. Together again…if only for just 2 days. So thrilled she is maintaining dear friendships from our Nor Cal days…I will do everything in my power to keep these friendships alive. ***** Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies [...]

Ballet Flats

Three years ago… Holden at {almost} 24 months in random octopus shirt, Nike basketball shorts and Isaac Mizrahi ballet flats {with lone Loeffler Randall gold flat in the background}. My baby is almost FIVE and he wouldn’t touch pink flats with a 10 foot pole now. Where oh where did that 36 months go? Wah.

Reflection

Tonight I had to go back and remember when Elliott was a newborn. {3 weeks old} Back before the word “NO!”, the sassiness {and I’m not talking about the good sassy, either}, the resistance, the “I hate you’s”, the storming upstairs, THE SPELLING TESTS. Homework this week has been bad ~ especially THE SPELLING TESTS. [...]

Homemade {Food Truck} Tacos

Korean tacos from the Kogi truck were Jay’s Father’s Day wish a couple years ago. We checked Twitter and met the truck in Westwood for some Korean BBQ tacos that were out of this world. Thanks to Pinterest, we can now make them at home. I followed this recipe for the meat. For the slaw, [...]
