It’s time for another {Havaianas} giveaway.

The weather will be warming up real soon and you need a new pair of buttery soft Havs to show off those freshly pedicured piggies of yours!

I am giving away a pair of {mint} colored Havaianas Top in size 9 {Hav sizing 41-42}. Embellished with a vintage inspired pearl & rhinestone flower.

They’re simply adorable and so Spring!

This time it’s a pair in “apricot” with a winter white poinsettia embellishment that can certainly be carried into Spring and throughout the year!

This Monday called for all the caffeine possible!

It was Espresso Rubbed Flank Steak and Asian Green Beans for dinner this evening…

Notice the absence of carbs on the plate…

I’m trying REALLY hard.

Turning over a new leaf.

Next time I will for sure make the green chile pesto to go along with the flank steak. I must say I loved the espresso rub ~ not over-powering in the least bit ~ very subtle coffee flavor and an unexpected kick from the chili powder.

The green beans are a WW recipe from a million years ago…

1.5 pounds green beans, trimmed

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon granulated sugar

6 cloves garlic, minced

1. In a large pot of rapidly boiling water, cook green beans until just tender, 4-5 minutes.

2. While beans are cooking, in small bowl combine soy sauce, oil and sugar; set aside.

3. Drain beans; set aside.

4. Spray wok or 10″ skillet with nonstick cooking spray, place over med-high heat. Add garlic, cook, stirring constantly, until softened, 20-30 seconds. Add green beans; cook, stirring and turning constantly, until well coated, about 2 minutes.

5. Add soy sauce mixture; continue to stir and turn until most of the liquid is absorbed, 1-2 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.

1 point per serving.

68 calories, 2.4g fat, 4g fiber

Brain Freeze

Read a little blurb in the July issue of Real Simple…

“Slurpee turns 44 this month”

Well, according to Wikipedia, Slurpee was born in 1967 and if I’m doing the math correctly, that makes it 43….just sayin’.

I guess it’s Real Simple vs. Wiki.

I’m sure Slurpee would enjoy being a year younger anyway…

All age discrepancies aside, July 11 is “7-11 day” in the US and apparently they are giving away FREE 7.11 ounce slurpees this Sunday.

The flavor combos have come quite a way since I was a kid.

Back in the day it was either Coke or Cherry.

I always did half and half since I couldn’t decide!

So, in an attempt to cross off “Get a 7-11 Slurpee” on our summer list, we will head to the nearest convenience store and fill up a cup with some wild concoction this Sunday.

I’m giving away my very first pair of Havaianas ~ embellished with some simple diamond-esque studs for a little bling!

All you need to do to enter is leave a comment on this post telling me about your favorite pair of flops and one of your fave Summer traditions, a trip you have planned or what you’re looking forward to doing over the next 3 months.
