Summer To-Do List
It just hit me that in 5 short weeks, Elliott will start Kindergarten.
In a mere 6 weeks, Holden will start preschool.
While I should be thinking “Endless Summer”, I immediately go to “Summer’s Almost Over”.
In an effort to make the most of what’s left of summer, here is a list of 10 things we’ll complete before school starts:
1. Trip to the Zoo {Check! 8.5.10}
2. Day at the beach {Check! 7.9.10}
3. Water balloon toss {Check! 7.14.10}
4. S’mores on the grill {Check! 7.11.10}
5. Happy Hour in the street {Check! 7.30.10}
{Frothy goodness…Google Images}
6. Root beer floats with homemade vanilla bean ice cream {Check! 8.1.10}
7. Get a 7-11 Slurpee {Check! 7.11.10}
8. Have a lemonade stand {Check! 9.5.10}
9. Go to a baseball game
10. Paint a ceramic at Color Me Mine {Check! 8.1.10}
Simple. Summer. Fun.

We are also taking a trip to beautiful Yosemite for a few days to visit my Uncle. This is something that I remember doing as a child and am enjoying passing along this tradition to Elliott & Holden.
Swimming in the creek. Stagecoach rides. Barn dances. Live piano music at the Wawona Hotel. Mosquitos. S’mores. Pine cones. Pancake breakfasts on the deck. Fresh, warm mountain air. Mini hikes. Strolling through the shady covered bridge.
Can’t wait!
What are your plans for achieving an endless summer?
